The Rail+ 9.8 is a carbon enduro e-MTB made for chasing after distant peaks and hammering out laps. With 160 mm front and rear travel, it's ready to rip through the rough, and it's backed by a powerful Bosch Performance CX drive system that makes long climbs and fast laps a breeze. It packs in adjustable geometry that lets you customise your bike for how and where you ride, a massive battery that keeps you going lap after lap, and a SRAM GX AXS wireless transmission for crisp shifts under load.

You chase big rides with even bigger terrain and need an e-bike that can keep up. You want plenty of suspension for gobbling up roots and rocks and a full-assist motor that doesn't wallow on punchy climbs. You care about upgrades where they matter most, like a carbon frame, upgraded suspension package and fully wireless SRAM transmission.

An OCLV Mountain Carbon frame with Bosch Performance CX system (85 Nm, 250 W) and a massive 800 Wh RIB 2.0 removable integrated battery. A 160 mm FOX Performance Elite Float 38 fork with Float EVOL spring and Grip X damper, and FOX Performance Elite Float X rear shock. Tubeless Ready Bontrager Line Comp 30 wheels, a wireless SRAM GX AXS transmission, 4-piston SRAM CODE Bronze hydraulic disc brakes and an internally-routed dropper post.

The Rail+ 9.8 is ready for epic rides that take you far beyond the beyond. With plenty of travel for rowdy terrain, a powerful motor for crushing big climbs, and a massive battery that keeps you going mile after mile, this beast of a bike is built for it all.
- The Rail+ delivers adventure with plenty of travel and power for getting after epic rides that take you peak to peak or chasing endless enduro laps
- You get upgrades where they matter, like a wireless SRAM transmission and RockShox suspension package
- You can tweak your geometry and suspension leverage rate for how you ride, and add in adjustable angle headset cups (sold separately) for even more adjustability
- The powerful Bosch Performance CX system goes full gas up steep climbs and keeps you cool for the descents
- The massive 800 Wh RIB 2.0 battery supports you for big miles and can be easily removed for travel or storage

Bosch Performance Line CX motor
The Bosch Performance Line CX sets the standard for eMTB performance with up to 85 Nm of torque and an intelligent eMTB mode with Extended Boost that automatically adjusts the amount of assist based on the terrain.

New RIB 2.0
Removable Integrated Battery (RIB 2.0) makes it easy to remove your battery for more convenient charging or travelling, and you don't have to worry about dropping it thanks to a secondary safety catch.

Mixed wheel size
You get a 29" front wheel for monster truckin' over stuff, with a smaller 27.5" wheel out back for getting rowdy.

Adjust the suss for full send
Adjust the leverage rate with just a flip of a chip. Ride it in the Less progressive setting for a plusher feel perfect for rugged trails with square-edge bumps. Flip it to More progressive when you're hitting big features and don't want to bottom-out, or when you want to run a coil shock.

Transition to transmission
The SRAM Eagle T-Type transmission mounts directly to the frame, skipping that pesky derailleur hanger of yesteryear. This makes for a more robust system that's not only cleaner-looking, it's also more precise under load and easier to set up.

Bosch System Controller
The System Controller gives you a quick overview of your assist mode and battery level without distracting you from the ride. It's integrated into the top tube so it's out of the way but still easy to see with LED indicators. It also connects to the eBike Flow app via Bluetooth for accessing ride stats and performing system updates.

GET UP TO 39% OFF THE COST OF YOUR NEW BIKE: HAPPY CYCLE TO WORK DAY

The UK’s Cycle To Work Scheme has been in place for over 20 years now, offering fantastic discounts to tens of thousands of riders.

The Cycle To Work Scheme, is offered through many thousands of employers in the UK and applies to bikes of all types, whether it’s road, MTB or hybrid, and that includes e-bikes too.

About the Cycle To Work Scheme

Introduced in 1999, the scheme aims to encourage employees to commute on their bike for environmental, traffic congestion and health reasons. It also enables companies to demonstrate that they’re looking after the wellbeing of their people.

Obviously, you’re supposed to use the bike for commuting – and we are massive supporters of getting to work this way – but it’s fine to buy a bike that’s built for the trails. Your employer owns the bike until you pay the final ownership fee, which is based on the “fair market value” of it at the end of that period.

As well as your new bike, you can use the scheme to buy accessories, such as helmets and bags, though these have to be ostensibly for your commute. So, no full face masks, for example. If you don’t have a lock, we strongly advise that you get one along with your bike as you’re liable for the Cycle To Work payments, even if it gets stolen while you’re paying it off.

How does the Cycle To Work Scheme work?

This is a salary sacrifice scheme for people aged 18 and over where the monthly payment for your bike is taken out before tax and National Insurance are deducted. Because your contribution is taken before tax, you pay off more per month for less. So, for a bike costing £1,200, £100 is taken from your salary every month but it only costs you £68 because the other £32 would have normally gone to the tax man, right? So, you pay 12 instalments of £68 and a final ownership fee of £300, totalling £1,116. If your salary puts you in the higher tax brackets, you actually save more but you get the gist.

I’m interested. What do I need to do?

Firstly, find out which scheme your employer is enrolled in and therefore where you can buy your bike from. We work with a number of Cycle To Work providers, including cyclescheme.co.uk, cycleplus and Bikes for the NHS.

Then you need to speak to your HR department and request a certificate, bring it to us and we’ll redeem it against the cost of your bike and accessories. The salary sacrifice commences from your next pay packet.

To get a bike on the scheme, your employer needs to sign up to a provider. If they’re unsure about how to do this, send them to us and we’ll help.
