Bikes purchased from Big Bear Bikes and Dalby Forest Cycle Hub receive a complimentary tune-up and safety check, approximately 6-8 weeks after purchase to maintain optimal performance.

All bikes benefit from regular workshop attention to keep them running reliably and safely, and to avoid large, unexpected bills. Most people should service their bike once a year, however, if you ride regularly that might need to increase to twice a year.

At Big Bear Bikes in Pickering, we can service and repair most makes or models of bikes. Please check with us first, as surprisingly some bike companies can be uncooperative with the supply of information or parts. Our team are all qualified to the highest industry standard called 'Cytech' and with years of professional cycle workshop experience. We keep a large stock of parts and accessories to help faster turn around times.

For routine services see our pricing below and if you have any questions please call, or email us, or just drop in to the store to discuss your needs.  In our digital world, bikes are analogue machines, and we much prefer to first talk through exactly what work you would like doing and quote accurately.

Please note the pricing below covers labour only.  We only work on reasonably clean bikes and to help we have a free-of-charge bike wash in our car park for customers, which is quick and easy to use.  Our standard, bike washing charge is £15.

Our workshop specialises in working with these leading cycle companies:

Whatever type of rider you are, we offer a comprehensive range of services for road, hybrid, mountain and e-bikes to cater for all your cycling needs. Our friendly, expert and professional team are here to help.  As well as our standard services we also undertake individual jobs, from a puncture repair to building your custom bike, no job is too large or small.  For more specialist work such as wheel builds and truing, suspension repair and maintenance, parts cleaning  and race tuning, we have the expertise and are here to help.

If you are bringing your bike in for a service/repair, please note that it must be clean.  If we have to clean it in order to be able to work on it, a minimum £10 charge will be added to the cost of the service/repair.  We have bike washing facilities at the rear of the shop which are free for customers to use.
