The Ultra Sport III has been completely renewed and now sports a dynamic tread pattern design. It is well suited to road race bikes as well as a classic city road bikes as it is available in a wide range of dimensions to suit either application. This tyre features a strong casing rated to e-bike specifications. Ultra Sport III is best used in favorable conditions on good quality roads due to the limited puncture protection. Those looking for an enthusiast level tyre but require a greater degree of puncture protection may be better served by the Continental Grand Sport range.
This tyre features Continental Pure Grip, a proprietary compound based on activated silica, whilst providing great grip it is also long lasting and highly durable. Originally intended as a performance level compound after intensive development an advanced new mix with outstanding grip and cross-country properties was developed. This rubber mix is used in performance products both in the road and mountain bike sectors. Pure Grip tyres are exclusively manufactured in a factory in Hefei (Asia).
