The Fuel EX 9.9 XX AXS is a performance-first trail bike built for riders who have an appreciation for the finest things in life. It combines a cream-of-the-crop carbon frame with top-tier components, from the carbon fibre wheels all the way up to the 150 mm Kashima-coated FOX Factory fork and featherweight, fully wireless SRAM XX transmission. It's a bike that rules the mountain and doesn't hesitate to lay claim to its domain, ripping up rock gardens, blasting berms and rocketing back to the top to conquer it all once again.

You have refined taste in mountain bikes, and don't like to settle. You want a bike built to tackle the whole mountain and rule it all with the finest technology available, from its light and stiff carbon frame and wheels that track through the hairiest lines, to the FOX Factory fork and SRAM's fully wireless top-tier XX transmission.

A featherweight OCLV Mountain Carbon frame built to handle the rough and rowdy, a pair of finely laced carbon wheels that track through technical terrain with ease and SRAM's top-tier XX AXS direct-mount, fully wireless electronic transmission. Plus, you get the silky smooth travel of a 150 mm FOX Factory 36 Fork with Float EVOL air spring and GRIP2 damper, 140 mm of FOX Factory Float X rear suspension and a RockShox Reverb AXS dropper post, all topped off with adjustable geometry for fine-tuning your ride to you and internal frame storage that lets you keep your set-up tidy without leaving behind trail essentials.

The Fuel EX 9.9 is a bike built to satisfy those with the finest taste. It pairs together an all- mountain trail capable carbon frame with the finest components you'll find on a modern mountain bike, from its carbon hoops to featherweight wireless SRAM XX AXS shifting. It's all wrapped up with adjustable geometry, so you can fine tune your ride to always feel how you want it.
- The Fuel EX Gen 6 gives you 140/150 mm of travel with extra adjustability features and more stable handling, plus a more robust frame with internal storage
- We expanded our size range to ensure a better fit for all riders, and use the best-fitting wheels for each frame size: XS frames get 27.5? wheels, S frames get to choose between 27.5? or 29?, and sizes M and up get 29? wheels
- The new SRAM T-Type transmission delivers next-level performance with precise shifts under load and unmatched durability with proven wireless technology.
- In-frame storage makes it easy to bring along all your essentials, while keeping your set-up streamlined and sleek
- With the adjustable angle headset (angled cups sold separately) and Mino Link, you can choose from six different geometry configurations

Internal Storage
Internal frame storage makes it easy to ditch the pack and still carry your ride essentials.

Active Braking Pivot
Active Braking Pivot allows our engineers to tune how the suspension reacts to acceleration and braking forces independently. That means you get more confident control when you need it most.

Slack or steep, the choice is yours
Install angle-adjust headset cups (sold separately) to tweak the 64.5-degree head tube angle a degree steeper or slacker to your liking - all without impacting your bottom bracket height.

Adjust the sus for full send
Adjust the leverage rate with just a flip of a chip. Ride it in the Less progressive setting for a plusher feel perfect for rugged trails with square-edge bumps. Flip it to More progressive when you're hitting big features and don't want to bottom-out, or when you want to run a coil shock.

Transition to transmission
The SRAM Eagle T-Type transmission mounts directly to the frame, skipping that pesky derailleur hanger of yesteryear. This makes for a more robust system that's not only cleaner-looking, it's also more precise under load and easier to set up.

Size-specific stays
Size-specific chainstays provide balanced handling to keep the ride nimble for smaller riders and improve front wheel traction on climbs for taller riders.

GET UP TO 39% OFF THE COST OF YOUR NEW BIKE: HAPPY CYCLE TO WORK DAY

The UK’s Cycle To Work Scheme has been in place for over 20 years now, offering fantastic discounts to tens of thousands of riders.

The Cycle To Work Scheme, is offered through many thousands of employers in the UK and applies to bikes of all types, whether it’s road, MTB or hybrid, and that includes e-bikes too.

About the Cycle To Work Scheme

Introduced in 1999, the scheme aims to encourage employees to commute on their bike for environmental, traffic congestion and health reasons. It also enables companies to demonstrate that they’re looking after the wellbeing of their people.

Obviously, you’re supposed to use the bike for commuting – and we are massive supporters of getting to work this way – but it’s fine to buy a bike that’s built for the trails. Your employer owns the bike until you pay the final ownership fee, which is based on the “fair market value” of it at the end of that period.

As well as your new bike, you can use the scheme to buy accessories, such as helmets and bags, though these have to be ostensibly for your commute. So, no full face masks, for example. If you don’t have a lock, we strongly advise that you get one along with your bike as you’re liable for the Cycle To Work payments, even if it gets stolen while you’re paying it off.

How does the Cycle To Work Scheme work?

This is a salary sacrifice scheme for people aged 18 and over where the monthly payment for your bike is taken out before tax and National Insurance are deducted. Because your contribution is taken before tax, you pay off more per month for less. So, for a bike costing £1,200, £100 is taken from your salary every month but it only costs you £68 because the other £32 would have normally gone to the tax man, right? So, you pay 12 instalments of £68 and a final ownership fee of £300, totalling £1,116. If your salary puts you in the higher tax brackets, you actually save more but you get the gist.

I’m interested. What do I need to do?

Firstly, find out which scheme your employer is enrolled in and therefore where you can buy your bike from. We work with a number of Cycle To Work providers, including cyclescheme.co.uk, cycleplus and Bikes for the NHS.

Then you need to speak to your HR department and request a certificate, bring it to us and we’ll redeem it against the cost of your bike and accessories. The salary sacrifice commences from your next pay packet.

To get a bike on the scheme, your employer needs to sign up to a provider. If they’re unsure about how to do this, send them to us and we’ll help.
