Colour: SATIN TREK BLACK

The Session 8 is a downhill mountain bike with a robust alloy frame and high-pivot suspension design that keeps you nimble, planted and blazing fast on even the most punishing runs.

You practically live at the downhill park, and want a fast, traction-packed DH bike that can handle your gnarliest runs thanks to a suspension design that keeps you in control all the way down.

A burly alloy frame, 200 mm rear travel with a FOX DHX shock, 200 mm RockShox Boxxer Select with plush Charger RC damper, powerful Code R 4-piston brakes and a SRAM GX 7-speed drivetrain.

The Session has always been the go-to DH bike. Now it's more of a ripper than ever thanks to a new suspension design that delivers more traction, speed and virtually no pedal kickback.
- New suspension layout with a high pivot and idler pulley increases traction, carries more speed and reduces pedal kickback for more stability
- Virtually zero pedal kickback means that you?ll stay confidently planted and in control during descents ? especially when landing jumps or drops
- The high pivot design delivers a more efficient rearward axle path so you?ll carry more speed and your wheel won?t get hung up on obstacles
- Adjust your suspension progression by flipping the lower shock mount chip ? 20% for plush park rides, 25% for racing efficiency
- Our new DH sizing system is based on reach, not rider height, which is the most important factor in a great downhill bike fit

All speed, no hang-ups
Session?s high-pivot design results in a rearward axle path that lets the back wheel move with the rearward force from bumps, not against it. On the trail, it feels like smoother suspension that maintains more forward momentum and provides more grip.

Rock the mullet
Session comes stocked for speed with 29er wheels, but party-in-the-back riders can run a mixed setup with a 27.5? rear wheel, or even 27.5" front and rear for more agility.

Tune for your trail
With Mino Link adjustments on both geometry and suspension, you can easily tune your Session to a progressive feel for racing days or dial it back for park days.

Reach-based sizing
When it comes to DH bikes, your reach affects your fit and ride quality far more than seat tube length. We?ve based Session?s sizing on reach to ensure you can find the setup that?s right for you.

Active Braking Pivot
Active Braking Pivot allows our engineers to tune how the suspension reacts to acceleration and braking forces independently. That means you get more confident control when you need it most.

Size-specific chainstay length
The chainstay length, or rear centre, grows as the frame reach grows so you get balanced weight distribution no matter your frame?s size. High-speed control and big mountain fun for everyone.

Order your new bike from us and one of our team will hand deliver it to your home or place of work. We use a specialist 'white glove' courier trained by ourselves.

For peace of mind, every bike comes fully assembled and PDI’d by one of our Cytech mechanics – not your usual bike in a box delivery as some other shops offer.

Due to current demand for our bikes, please allow a minimum of 5-7 working days for delivery. We will call you to arrange a mutually convenient time.

GET UP TO 39% OFF THE COST OF YOUR NEW BIKE: HAPPY CYCLE TO WORK DAY

The UK’s Cycle To Work Scheme has been in place for over 20 years now, offering fantastic discounts to tens of thousands of riders.

The Cycle To Work Scheme, is offered through many thousands of employers in the UK and applies to bikes of all types, whether it’s road, MTB or hybrid, and that includes e-bikes too.

About the Cycle To Work Scheme

Introduced in 1999, the scheme aims to encourage employees to commute on their bike for environmental, traffic congestion and health reasons. It also enables companies to demonstrate that they’re looking after the wellbeing of their people.

Obviously, you’re supposed to use the bike for commuting – and we are massive supporters of getting to work this way – but it’s fine to buy a bike that’s built for the trails. Your employer owns the bike until you pay the final ownership fee, which is based on the “fair market value” of it at the end of that period.

As well as your new bike, you can use the scheme to buy accessories, such as helmets and bags, though these have to be ostensibly for your commute. So, no full face masks, for example. If you don’t have a lock, we strongly advise that you get one along with your bike as you’re liable for the Cycle To Work payments, even if it gets stolen while you’re paying it off.

How does the Cycle To Work Scheme work?

This is a salary sacrifice scheme for people aged 18 and over where the monthly payment for your bike is taken out before tax and National Insurance are deducted. Because your contribution is taken before tax, you pay off more per month for less. So, for a bike costing £1,200, £100 is taken from your salary every month but it only costs you £68 because the other £32 would have normally gone to the tax man, right? So, you pay 12 instalments of £68 and a final ownership fee of £300, totalling £1,116. If your salary puts you in the higher tax brackets, you actually save more but you get the gist.

I’m interested. What do I need to do?

Firstly, find out which scheme your employer is enrolled in and therefore where you can buy your bike from. We work with a number of Cycle To Work providers, including cyclescheme.co.uk, cycleplus and Bikes for the NHS.

Then you need to speak to your HR department and request a certificate, bring it to us and we’ll redeem it against the cost of your bike and accessories. The salary sacrifice commences from your next pay packet.

To get a bike on the scheme, your employer needs to sign up to a provider. If they’re unsure about how to do this, send them to us and we’ll help.
