Haibike AllMtn 10: The Perfect Combination Of Price and Specification

Haibike AllMtn 10: The Perfect Combination Of Price and Specification

We think Haibike have really hit the sweetspot of price and specification with their AllMtn 10 electric mountain bike. This high end model is currently reduced to just under £5,000, and what you get for that price is an incredible spec with lots of branded components. Let’s take a closer look at what makes this bike so good.

Haibike AllMtn is what we call a “full fat” e-bike, meaning it has long travel suspension front and rear, a powerful motor and a big battery. It’s a good alternative to Trek Rail – read our side-by-side review here – and we have plenty of customers who have chosen the Haibike over the Trek with absolutely no regrets.

It also has a mullet set-up throughout the range, meaning the front wheel is 29” and the rear 27.5”. The idea is that the larger front rolls over obstacles better and the smaller rear makes for quicker turning and greater manoeuvrability on twisty sections.

The range runs from the AllMtn 3 at £4,079 (reduced from £4,799) to the AllMtn CF SE at £7,699 but our pick of them all is the AllMtn 10. The key point about this particular model is that it has an aluminium frame, which makes it heavier than the carbon fibre AllMtn but also keeps the price down. Our thinking is that if you’re riding a full fat e-bike, you’re not too worried about a bit of extra weight anyway so why not enjoy the higher quality componentry?

Who’s it for?

The Haibike AllMtn 10 is tailored for riders who want versatility and performance across diverse landscapes. Whether you're conquering steep ascents, exploring winding trails or descending challenging downhill routes, this electric mountain bike is designed to excel in a variety of terrains.

Haibike is ideal if you want a lot of spec for your money and the AllMtn 10 is especially good in that respect. The frame styling is a bit like Marmite but lots of people love the chunky, angular look and there’s now a really nice blue and silver colourway (pictured above) that really pops, as well as the original black (below).

Exceptional Quality Components:

One of the standout features of the Haibike AllMtn 10 is its impressive array of high-quality components. Designed to enhance both performance and durability, these components make the AllMtn 10 a worthy investment for riders seeking an exhilarating and reliable trail experience.

Yamaha PW-X3 motor: At the heart of the AllMtn 10 is the powerful Yamaha motor, which delivers 85Nm of torque. This motor provides seamless pedal assistance, ensuring you conquer the steepest climbs and navigate challenging terrains with ease, while the huge 720Wh battery will keep you riding for hours.

RockShox Suspension: The Haibike AllMtn 10 is equipped with RockShox suspension front and rear, delivering unparalleled comfort and control. The 160mm FOX 38 Factory Kashima air suspension fork and Float X Factory EVOL LV rear shock work in tandem to absorb shocks and bumps, providing a smooth and responsive ride.

Shimano Deore XT gears and brakes: The precision and reliability of the Shimano Deore XT range are synonymous with high-end mountain biking. The AllMtn 10 features a 12-speed XT groupset, offering a wide gear range for seamless transitions across various terrains, and Deore XT hydraulic disc brakes for confidence in your stopping power.

Branded Rolling Components: We love the wheel and tyre sets on the AllMtn 10. There’s something about the look of those logos spinning round that elevates the aesthetic of your bike more than just about anywhere else on your bike. The AllMtn 10 has Maxxis Minion DHF II tyres and Mavic E-Deemax wheels which look great - check out the pictures - and work even better.

The customer’s verdict

Lee Wilson, from Whitby, owned a Haibike AllTrail 3 and popped in to see us shortly after the new Haibike 10 had come out.

He said: “Instantly I just thought it looks unreal. The team talked me through the components and how good they were. I went back to work the next day and sold my old bike to one of the lads and went to buy the AllMtn 10 straight away. The design of it and the equipment - the RockShox Kashima forks, the gears, the brakes - to upgrade another bike would have cost a fortune to get it to that level so it was the perfect set-up for me.

“It’s excellent. It way outdoes anybody else’s bike. It’s just effortless to ride. The front end rides the bumps and on the back the suspension deals with everything more easily than you would expect. It definitely turns quickly because of the mullet set-up. The track I ride at Dalby Forest is really twisty but this bike is so fast through the sections; other people on e-bikes can’t keep up with it, unless you’re up against a Trek Rail 9.5 or something like that. The motor is so smooth and the torque on it is unreal.

“I was always dead set against buying an e-bike but it just adds to the fun. Once I had ridden my AllTrail, I knew I had to get something like the AllMtn.”

Our team’s verdict

Our Sales Manager Olly said: “We have the whole AllMtn range here. It’s a full suspension mullet bike with long travel front and back but I really think the AllMtn 10 is a great bike. It really is at the top of its game. The trade-off of not having the lighter carbon frame but spending extra on the components really works. The AllMtn 10 is outstanding on the trails and we have a long list of customers who have chosen this model and absolutely love it.”
