A Great Summer Of Riding!

A Great Summer Of Riding!

Heading out on two wheels on the roads, tracks and trails is just what summer was made for. There are so many reasons why cycling is the perfect family activity! From bringing out the child in all of us to creating happy memories together. Let’s not forget the health benefits of fresh air and exercise, which keep everyone happy and healthy. So, get ready to pack up the backpack, grab your helmets and head out for a ride.

Here are some ideas to ensure you have a great summer, and don’t hear the words “I’m bored!”...

Teeny tots: to the local park

Your little one may be on their first balance bike like the Frog Tadpole or Trek Kickster, or maybe they are still on stabilisers to help with balance; local parks are a great place to start.

Most local parks are traffic free and have a nice mix of soft grassy areas, along with easy, clear paths. Also, a bonus of having a park nearby!

Frog is a brand whose strength is really understanding its customers. These little machines truly bring the fun of bike life to kids with bikes that are easier to learn on and control, and with a fantastic selection of bright colours across their range.

Thrill-seeking teens: to a local cinder track

The North York Moors are interwoven with a network of paths that wind through forests and over hills, offering incredible views, fresh air and plenty of wildlife. This part of the world has some exceptional former railway line routes like the old Scarborough to Whitby coastal railway line.

The Trek Marlin is a great bike for all of your child's adventures. It is the perfect all-rounder; a hardtail mountain bike that’s loved by teenagers and adults the world over. It’s a brilliant gateway bike to anyone who wants to get into trail riding but it’s also versatile enough to enjoy on cinder tracks and roads.

Adventurous Adolescents: to a local woodland

It is no secret that we are huge fans of our local Dalby Forest; it is 8,500 acres of woodland that just oozes adventure. Exploring the forest on two wheels will leave you grinning from ear to ear.

The Trek Roscoe is a more rugged choice than Marlin, with 40mm more travel in the front suspension. It’s for anyone looking to have some serious fun out in Dalby Forest. With frame sizes from XS up to XXL and some awesome colourways, there’s a Roscoe for everyone. We love the Trek Roscoe 6 in grey and red.
